About me:
Gillian's passion for travel was ignited by a couple of much loved books when she was very young; 'Heidi' by Johanna Spyri and 'A Town Like Alice' by Neville Shute.
As a result, she spent a year living in Switzerland as a very young woman, and later on got to visit Australia and Alice Springs in particular.
The Spirit of Adventure aims to get right back to the nitty gritty of travel. I'm passionately interested in what makes people and places tick. What is it that allows two people to sit side by side in companionable silence when they don't even share a common language? Although I feel landscape influences the way we live our lives, there's something much deeper than any terrain, country or culture that inspires us all. For me, its the Spirit of Adventure.
